A Film by Ingmar Bergman Two loners meet in a train station, both of them battling on the fringes of polite Swedish society: Maggi is pregnant and unsure of what to do, while David has recently been released from prison and is faced with the difficult task of starting his life anew. United in their struggles against societal convention, the two fall in love, creating a life together in a small cabin. In spite of the numerous challenges they must face daily and their inability to trust their fellow human beings, their love for one another helps them continue to fight. It Rains On Our Love is only the second film from master director Ingmar Bergman: a hymn to true love and one of his most optimistic early films.
