In 1930's China, the town of Foshan is the legendary hub of Kung Fu martial arts. Ip Man is an accomplished grandmaster of Wing Chun Kung Fu but chooses to keep a low profile and doesn't take any students. Challenge after brutal challenge sees the town realise that Ip Man's martial arts is unstoppable.

After the Japanese invasion, the town descends into chaos and struggles to survive. Ip Man rises up to challenge General Miura and the Japanese Army. With everything at stake, Ip Man is on a path to a fierce and bloody final confrontation...
