One of the favourite activities for all anime fans is Cosplay!
For many, its making the costumes and playing the character, and for others it's just seeing the amazing work of the Cosplayers in bringing anime characters to life.
Celebrating this great part of anime culture,
Madman's National Cosplay Competition final is occuring on November 14th at the Sebel Hotel - Albert Park, Melbourne.
But even if you can't get to Melbourne you can show your love of cosplay with this competition, but as always we like an extra twist.
Your task is to create a piece depicting an anime character - cosplaying as another character!
Just what kind of combination of looks would that create? And what nifty innovations on character costumes would your favourite characters make. What skit would they perform? Would they make fun or pay tribute?
HOW TO ENTER:
Upload your art with a 50 word or less description of the scene, the character's and what kind of costume they chose.
Artwork entered should be a TIFF or JPEG file, at least 10cm x 15cm at 300dpi

The artwork judged as the best will receive the following prizes!
1st - $150 voucher for Madman's online store
2nd - $100 voucher for Madman's online store
3rd - $75 voucher for Madman's online store
4th - $50 voucher for Madman's online store

Entries received after this time will not be eligible for consideration by the Judges. 3.The winner will be selected by 6th December 2009. 4. Australian residents only. The winner will be the most original and inventive answer to the question, as determined by the Judges in their absolute discretion. 6. This is a game of skill, and chance plays no part in determining the winners. 7. The Judges' decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. 8. The major prize winner will receive a prize voucher valued at $150; 1st Runner-up winner will receive a prize voucher valued at $100; 2nd Runner-up winner will receive a prize voucher valued at $75; 3rd Runner-up Winner will receive a prize voucher valued at $50. Total Combined Prize-Pool Value = $375. 9. The winners will be notified by email upon draw and publicly listed on Madman.com.au by Friday 4th December 2009. 10. Prizes must be taken as offered and are not exchangeable, transferable or redeemable for cash. In the event that, for any reason whatsoever, a winner does not take an element of the prize at the time stipulated by the Promoter then that element of the prize is forfeited. 13. The Promoter is not liable for any entries which are lost, stolen, misdirected, delayed, illegible or damaged. 11. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any person who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these terms and conditions.12.
