My only thought for this was that the characters would all dress as each other so thats what I drew. Hope you like it. I left Luffy's hat on his own head though. He doesn't like to be without it!
Hey jedite you don't necessarily need a tablet to create this type of image. I drew all these guys separately on paper then scanned and combined into one picture. But, having a graphic tablet definitely helps with coloring a bit more smoothly. Also, the lines look smoother because I shrank the images down for the final picture. I scanned these all originally bigger than the original sketches to be about 40cm tall to start the coloring process and the lines were still a bit rough but they just look smoother when shrunk down.
A triumphant return!!! lol great stuff! I'd have to agree on not needing a tablet to do great looking artworks! I did all the lineart on my last entry in the last comp with a mouse and it turned out great! allot of my first pics in my profile were all done by mouse too! >.<
Actual;ly I prefer my pencil lines a lot more than any inks I do just cos I'm quite plain with inking. I tend to use a uniform line instead of different thicknesses. But that's where the fun of digital coloring comes in with photoshop. I spent nine hours straight coloring a picture last week. Not this one obviously.
