MADMAN ART COMP WINNERS: REVERSE LOVE AND HATE
Love can be a topsy turvy thing, and to interpret this we asked the artists of the Madman Fanzone to express what would happen if you took characters who normally love each other, and made them hate each other?
Conversely, what would we see when turning the most hated rivals into adoring lovers?

Conjuring forth a piece of wish fulfilment many 8 year olds never realised at the time, AJchan's inner child will easily forgive her this fantastic piece as we see She-Ra and Hordak have given in to their repressed desires, and it's a wonderful thing.

Death Note: Compromising by Ardie
Speaking of wish fulfilment, one of the greatest modern rivalries in anime is hereby resolved! Light and L let all the stress of plotting and planning against one another drift away with this little cruise... or is it just a ploy? Ardie also showed us love turn to hate between Misa and Light in this great piece.

If there were ever a pair of violent protagonists you'd expect could never sort things out, it would be Ninja Scroll's uber-swordsman Jubei and demonic Genma! Will they burn together in a golden heaven?

In a fine example of kawaii chibi sweetness, the gritty gals of Claymore put aside their bloodied weapons for this wallpaper-worthy piece.

Life can be so cruel ... Ash proves himself a poor friend as he dumps poor Pikachu on the street... Pikachu's tears say it all.

Another cheerful betrayal, Luffy is getting ready to chow down on his BBQ'd reindeer pal, depicted in a wonderfully coloured piece that strikes us as a twisted postcard!

We love a bit of cutesy ultra-violence. You have been warned! If this is hate turned to love, we hope they survive a lovers tiff!

With striking use of colour, symmetry and crisp lines, Torogoz has created a piece with the kind of energy that makes it impossible to think, for this moment, Megaman and Wily would be enemies.
Love's in the Air by miko_chan
The deadly Akuma, suddenly shy and embarrassed, seems to have taken a shine to fighting femme, Chun Li. Watch out for his Raging Demon!
Kyo and Tohru by Mayumi
A brilliantly coloured manga panel, check out the tufts of dust being kicked up as Tohru boots Kyo right out of the house - literally heartbroken!
bulma vegeta by soulwitch
In this inverse world, instead of obsessively indifferent, Vegeta is a frisky family man, much to Bulma's chagrin. Hilarious - it seems the balance can never be quite right for them.
