That's statement is really coming to reality as a giant 1:1 scale Gundam has now been completed in Japan. It's on display in Odaiba from now until August 31st. A part of the Gundam 30th anniversary project, this massive 18 metre tall statue will apparently when 100% completed and opened on July 11th have smoke blowing out from various parts of it's body as well as have it's eyes light up.
