MADMAN CROSS COSPLAY ART COMP WINNERS
One of most favourite activities for all anime fans is Cosplay! For many, its making the costumes and playing the character, and for others it's just seeing the amazing work of the cosplayers in bringing anime characters to life.
Celebrating this great part of anime culture, Madman's National Cosplay Competition showcased the best of the best. At the same time, the Madman Fanzone was busy with cosplay activity as well - but with a twist.
This time we've had some fun with artwork depicting anime characters, dressing up as other anime characters!

Winner
Lucky Lagann by bonxy
bonxy blew us away with this beautifully coloured piece with the ultra cute girls of Lucky Star dressing up in the garb of Gurren Lagann. Not only an extremely impressive piece with strong, clean lines and composition, you can tell right away who the characters are playing as - a worthy winner!

Second Place
The Duel by Veleven
One of the most dynamic pieces we received, not only is there a crossover of costumes, but the two characters, Zoro and Vegeta have decided to battle each other in their swapped roles. Fantastic expression and action on this piece
Veleven wins 2nd prize of a $100 Madman store voucher!
Third Place
Pierce The Heavens by Mul
In a very effective take on the distinctive, thick-lined "eyecatch" screens that sport the middle of each Gurren Lagann episode, Mul has produced a top piece. Haruhi as the leader of Dai Gurren looks a treat, retaining her signature yellow ribbon.

Fourth Place
re-l by Yuna
Yuna's piece slinked its way up our list as each time we looked at it, it struck us with the quality if the image, but most importantly, it's clear at a glance who the two characters are; re-l of Ergo Proxy dressed as Hell Girl, what a sinister but gorgeous combination!
Yuna wins 4th prize of a $50 Madman store voucher!
Honorable Mentions
There were again so many good pieces out of the many wonderful entries that we wanted to highlight some more strong pieces. All of these honorable mentions will receive a surprise DVD!
