ANIMATED ASTERIX COMING SOON TO MADMAN!

Madman is delighted to announce the acquisition of the animated feature ASTERIX AND THE VIKINGS.

Created over 5 years with the biggest budget to date for an animated Asterix movie, ASTERIX AND THE VIKINGS features actor Paul Giamatti (American Splendor, Sideways) voicing Asterix,
Brad Garrett from TV's "Everyone Loves Raymond" is the voice of Obelix, Sean Astin (Samwise Gamgee from Lord of the Rings) plays the cowardly Justforkix and teen actress Evan Rachel Wood (Thirteen) is playing the Vikingette Abba, a new character created for the film and Justforkix's love interest.

The story centres around the fearless Vikings who kidnap Justforkix, nephew of the Gauls' chief, a carefree teenager from Lutetia. Their object is to learn fear from Justforkix in order to learn how to fly, for an ancient Viking states that "fear lends wings". Asterix and Obelix's mission is to free Justforkix before it is too late, as the Vikings threaten to get rid of Jusforkix if he is not able to teach them fear!

Set for the Madman release slate in late 2006.
