Nausicaa Screening Packs Out House At Cannes Film Festival

A new film print of Hayao Miyazaki's Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind was screened at the 59th Cannes International Film Festival on the 18th of May.

Featured as part of the "Cannes Classics" section of the festival it has been reported that lines were formed a full hour prior to the screening at the 450 person theatre, with the screening being oversold.

Reports have also mentioned that a collective shout of joy filled the cinema when Miyazaki's name appeared on the credits!
