Sunny Bridges left his hometown of Atlanta to pursue a career in music 10 years ago. Since then, he has won a total of 27 Grammy Awards and a Nobel Peace Prize and has sold out concerts all over the world. But despite the fame, Sunny is left feeling like something is missing. Eventually, it just becomes too much for Sunny, and he unexpectedly steps out of the spotlight, literally, and returns to his hometown for some quiet reflection. There, he steps into the lives of a diverse group of kids as their music teacher in an attempt to get back to his roots and reconnect with what he loves most about music. Naturally, Sunny is reluctant about being a music teacher at his alma mater until he sees the kids’ passion for music, something he used to see in himself.
In addition to serving as co-creator and co-executive producer, Andre “3000” Benjamin provides his voice to the character of Sunny Bridges. Benjamin will also contribute an original song to every episode, each accompanied by a music video directed by some of the most respected art directors in the industry, including Alan Bodner (Iron Giant); Overton Lloyd, known for his work on album covers for Parliament; and Peter Chung (Æon Flux).
Class of 3000 is produced by Cartoon Network Studios in association with the Tom Lynch Co. and Benjamin’s production company, Moxie. Thomas W. Lynch and André “3000” Benjamin are co-creators/ executive producers of Class of 3000. The show’s co-executive producer and head writer is Patric M. Verrone, a writer for Futurama, The Critic and Pinky and the Brain and a supervising producer on Futurama. Joe Horne (The Boondocks, Teamo Supremo, The Oblongs) serves as supervising producer.

After an unfullfilling career as a musical superstar. Sunny Bridges returned to his roots becoming a music teacher at his old school in Atlanta. Music is Sunny's true passion and his greatest joy is helping his students find the music in the world around them, as well as inside themselves.
Li'l D
Because of his enthusiasm and curiosity Li’l D tends to take charge as the leader of the Westley kids, whether they like it or not! He sees Sunny as a mentor even though he can’t understand why Sunny would leave his superstar lifestyle to come home. Although he’s proficient at many instruments, Lil’D’s specialty is the drums.
Kim Chin
Kim and her twin brother Kam are the youngest members of the class and by far the most intelligent. Kim is more impulsive, reactive and rebellious than her brother and sometimes she’s more concerned with fashion than music but her skills at percussion instruments are unparalleled.
Kam Chin
Kam is much more conservative than his twin sister Kim. That’s not to say he doesn’t have a fun side, because he is also a wise-cracking satirist! But is he completely serious when it comes to music, especially classical. Kam has mastered every instrument that has a keyboard.
Edward Phillip James Lawrence III
Because of Eddie’s sheltered childhood as a rich kid many everyday concepts seem new through his eyes and he often has to be convinced that not all problems can be solved by money alone. But Eddie’s usually game for any plan Lil’D comes up with and he’s quite talented on wind instruments like clarinet, flute and trumpet.
Madison Spaghettini Papadopolous
Madison has two moods, happy and thrilled. Her main focus is bowed instruments like violin and cello and like those instruments, Madison his highly strung! She has no clue what she wants to be when she grows up but in the meantime she’s happy to be doing her thing at the Westley School.
Tamika Jones
From her physically imposing presence to her aggressive attitude Tamika has a well deserved reputation as the toughest girl in school. But even though she’d never admit it Tamika has a gentle side and a good heart. She’s an expert at stringed instruments like harp, guitar, banjo and sitar.
Philly Phil
In addition to being a musical prodigy who specialises in bass instruments Philly Phil is a scientific genius. Although he can be absent-minded at times and his schemes often don’t turn out as planned he is always eager to use his gadgets and knowledge to help the other kids.
