In ancient Gaul, one village resisted Roman occupation thanks to a magic potion of super strength and the village's clever hero, Asterix. With his friend Obelix, who is always strong since he fell into the potion as a baby, they defy the Romans with hilarious results.
Here, Obelix is lovestruck by the chief's niece, but she is betrothed to someone else! After she is captured by the Romans he and Asterix travel to Rome for a Colosseum battle!
