Becoming fascinated with The Count's mysterious charm, Albert welcomes him into Paris high society. But soon Albert will discover the Count's true motive - revenge...
Studio Gonzo’s (HELLSING, GANTZ, FULL METAL PANIC!) unique adaptation of Alexandre Dumas’ legendary novel, THE COUNT OF MONTE CRISTO, features direction by Mahiro Maeda (THE ANIMATRIX, LAST EXILE), costumes by world-renowned Anna Sui and music by Jean-Jacques Burnel (THE STRANGLERS). With a highly original, unique visual style that separates GANKUTSUOU from the crowd, this is the first of six volumes on DVD.
