MADMAN ENTERTAINMENT NEWSLETTER | JUNE UPDATE

Editorial

June…

A month when cold’s icy fingers descend on the nation… Ok, maybe not in Queensland or the Northern Territory, but it’s all relative and 21 degrees seems cold to some of those northerners. But hey, enough about the Tropic of Capricorn and being outdoors. Concentrate on the positive: more time to enjoy anime bathed in the loving glow of your TV.

Starting with LE CHEVALIER D’EON, take a trip back to pre-Revolution France. The collars were frilly, the cakes were tasty and the zombies were getting killed by transgender spirits. Yes indeed, it was a fine time to be alive, especially when you were on a quest for revenge possessed by the spirit of your dead sister, in a series directed by the guy behind RUROUNI KENSHIN and animated by Production I.G. (BLOOD: THE LAST VAMPIRE.)

If swashbuckling drama with zombies isn’t your thing (what’s wrong with you?!?) then perhaps you’d prefer the high-flying shenanigans of COYOTE RAGTIME. I don’t know what to tell you beyond 12 goth assassins, cigar chomping escape artist, planet destroying bomb, billions of dollars and sexy detectives. You’d
like it.

Of course, we’re collecting a bunch of our older series too (Burst Angel, Initial D, Requiem from the Darkeness and Saiyuki – quality shows all!) AND there’s more great Madman titles beyond anime like the latest [adult swim] DVDs and a brand new animated ASTERIX feature… Why, I could go on for DAYS. (But I won’t.)

Hey, still here? Well Tenacious One, you deserve to know that simply by subscribing to the Madman newsletter you can win FREE STUFF. It’s stuff and it’s totally for free. Don’t be a self-serving cad, tell a friend about us today and point them to www.madman.com.au/newsletters. Yes, sharing warms the cockles of my heart.

Until July mes amis!
