The Pre-RambleHello and welcome to 2007! I sure hope the ratio of the proverbial wheat-to-chaff in your Christmas stockings was solidly stacked in favour of wheat! It's hard to believe we are nearly 10% of the way through the 21st century and they still haven't invented hoverboards or a reasonable explanation for why Sunbeam took the Popasaurus off the market!? As the New Year hangover ebbs away I ponder these things and face the sobering thought that 2007 is going to be the biggest year for Otaku Wear so far...

OTAKU WEAR PRICE INCREASE EFFECTIVE FEBRUARY 1st, 2007
Please note that as of the 1st of February 2007 a number of Otaku Wear items will undergo small price increases.
Anime licensed (e.g. FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST and GITS: STAND ALONE COMPLEX,) and Madman branded apparel items will feature the following standardized SRPs from February 1st:
- t-shirts $39.95 srp
- hoodies $79.95 srp
- caps $34.95 srp
These changes will affect the Otaku Wear back-catalogue and apply to future apparel ranges until further notice. These increases do not affect our great range of accessories, Mythwear Bags and Madman Collectables.
Otaku Wear appreciates all the support we've received to date and we've put off these increases for as long as possible. All customers now have until January 31st, 2007 to pick-up Otaku Wear items they're missing at the lower pricing! (Remember: Even if it's not in stock, if you order by January 31st you'll receive the old pricing.)
RETRO COLLECTION CLEARANCE SALE!
Starblazers, Battle of the Planets, Voltron & Robotech Tees are all at the 1980's price of $20! Take advantage of this sweet offer before they become just a distant childhood memory! You can browse the range here.
KENNY STUFF
In the wake of his AFI Awards triumph, women all over Australia think Kenny is a doll. Thunderbox films and Madman recognise this and have rendered a pint-size version for you to take home and cuddle. You've got the DVD, seen the calendar - now the whole family can enjoy Kennyisms from the Sage of the Sewage himself. With our Kenny talking plush doll you can squeeze his wrist and hear your favourite pearls of Kenny wisdom. As Kenny says "I've been stuffed before, but never like this”.
Visit Madman.com.au to see more images of the Kenny Plush in our exclusive behind-the-scenes gallery.
And check out our range of Kenny Tees, available in Red, White and Black, each features a different Kennyism.
GUYS LOGO SPRAY
Last year we released the Fullmetal Alchemist Logo Spray Tee for girls and it was a real hit - with the fellas! That's right, a lot of guys left disappointed that they couldn't purchase the Logo Spray tee and some especially buff guys just didn't care about the figure hugging cut and bought one anyway! But the word on the street is we now have 'Male' specific cuts available from www.otakuwear.com.au and our usual Friends of Otaku (see below!) You'll find them with all the other great FMA gear!

Friends of Otaku
Don't get me wrong I love buying stuff of the net as much as the next Otaku but sometimes you really can't beat the instant gratification that going into a store and trying on a garment provides. Lucky for us there are some great people out there stocking the gear and making it possible to scratch that proverbial itch. Check 'em out, vote with your feet, hassle them to stock more Otaku Wear!
