Congratulations to Shaun Tan and the makers of the LOST THING which has just won the Oscar for Short Film (Animated) at the 83rd Academy Awards.

While out collecting bottle tops at the beach, a boy discovers an enormous, bizarre and lonely creature that nobody else appears to notice. Feeling a sorry for it, he decides to find a home for this new friend, even as others warn that ‘some things don’t belong anywhere’. But is this really true? Can a thing be just plain lost?
