title announcement fest!

So for weeks now we have been building up a lot of brand new announcements for titles coming out in 2012 and also available for streaming on madman.com.au/videos very shortly. Today, we will finally reveal to you all these titles! Are you ready? (refresh the page throughout the day for the latest announcements!

PUELLA MAGI MADOKA MAGICA

 I’m hearing a lot of you say the words “FINALLY!” well, the wait is over. One of the hottest titles in 2011 will be coming to our shores in 2012. Anyone who has seen this show will tell you, MADOKA MAGICA is not your typical magical girl show, we won’t spoil things but here’s a short synopsis:

Madoka Kaname, an eighth grader at Mitakihara middle school, lives such a life. One day, she has a very magical encounter. She doesn’t know if it’s by chance or by fate yet, but this meeting will change her destiny. This is the beginning of a new story of magical girls…

MADOKA MAGICA will be released from April 2012 across 3 volumes.

MAKEN-KI! BATTLING VENUS

The famous Tenpi Gakuen: a slightly unconventional school where the lessons are held using mysterious pieces of equipment called “Maken”, which enhance a kind of energy within their users called “Element”.
The protagonist, Takeru Ohyama enrolls at the school, which has just become coed, with his mind filled with simple thoughts of flowery paradise blooming with girls, only to find himself overwhelmed by the battling bevy of Maken-wielding beauties he encounters…
And what’s more, he somehow finds himself living with three beautiful girls, his childhood friend, Haruko Amaya, his self-proclaimed fiancée, Inaho Kushiya, and the mysterious Kodama Himegami, in a new life that turns his expectations completely upside-down.
In the midst of all, on Haruko’s recommendation, Takeru joins the “Maken-ki”, a special group of individuals who have the responsibility to resolve incidents and trouble at the school. Busy with both love and battles, the course for Takeru’s life at the school is far from the set in stone…

COICENT + FIVE NUMBERS!

Get ready for a double dose of amazing science fiction as two astounding tales come together in one incredible collection of state of the art animation!  First, it’s a quick time jump to the 26th century where a school trip to a rebuilt 21st century city turns into a wild adventure for teenage Shinichi.  While chasing a talking deer that steals his bag, he runs into a strange girl trying to elude even stranger pursuers, and then things get wild.  It’s a mad dash through a city of the past as two young people discover a chance at a new future in COICENT.

Then, four people awake to find themselves in the ultimate prison: an ex-soldier, a beautiful woman, an average Joe and a young computer hacker.  Why are they there?  What connection links them together?  And how can they escape?  The answer seems to lie with the fifth prisoner, an old man who knows far more than he is telling.  And then there’s the cat.  It’s the ultimate locked room mystery and all their lives hinge on solving it in FIVE NUMBERS.

Two for the price of one! These two unique features will be released as a double movie pack in April 2012.

 

THE FUTURE DIARY

Deux Ex Machina, lord of time and space, plans a game to decide a new god. Participants whom are picked randomly by Deus, are handed diaries which are written in a style particular to each of their characters, These diaries can predict the future and are to use as they fight if out amongst themselves to be the last one standing. Yukiteru has the “Indiscriminate Diary”, which predicts events that will happen around him. Watched over by his classmate, Yuno Gasai (a fellow diary-holder who is blindly in love with him), Yukiteru will face the other diary holders…

The Future Diary will be starting its stream run shortly followed by a home video release in the future.

HEAVEN’S LOST PROPERTY + FORTE

Girl-crazy Tomoki’s quiet life gets turned upside down when beautiful, winged Ikaros falls from the sky – and starts calling him master! She seems a little bit lost on Earth, and her origins are shrouded in mystery. One thing’s for sure, though – she just might have the power to make Tomoki’s every dream come true!

Season 1 will be available in March 2012 on DVD, BD and Digital. Season 2 (Forte) will be released at a later date.

PERSONA 4 THE ANIMATION

 

When Yu Narukami’s family moves to the rural country town of Inaba, he’s expecting a lot more peace and quiet than he’s been used to in the big city. Instead, the peace has been shattered as a rash of mysterious murders and kidnappings sweep the countryside. With the police stymied, Yu finds himself joining with a group of eight other teenagers in a desperate bid to solve the mystery. A mystery that is somehow connected to both the local weather patterns and a strange video game world which Yu, his friends and the enigmatic killer can all enter. Journey beyond the Velvet Room as the hit PlayStation 2™ game becomes a spectacular anime in PERSONA 4 the Animation!

PERSONA 4 The Animation will be streamed online shortly followed by a home video release in the future.

Im glad you guys picked Persona 4. It seems like a good cross over title with ‘non anime’ but video game fans. hopefully it makes them appreciate the medium.

@Themelancholyharuhilover Uh.. Yeah they do, Girls Bravo is the first one that comes to mind. Most of the time the edits are pointless though, which is dumb.
