Volume One: "Ukiyo-e Woodblock Print - A View of 15,498 Loops of Summer - Haruhi Suzumiya"
This Ukiyo-e woodblock print is a commemorative item that is currently under development to celebrate both the 10th anniversary of the theatrical release of "The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya" and the 15th anniversary of the TV anime broadcast. Haruhi's ukiyo-e print is based on the popular “Endless Eight” arc and features the bright red yukata worn in the series with lanterns in the background and a yagura tower that gives the piece the feeling of a summer festival. The members of the SOS Brigade can also be seen on the yagura tower. The title of this ukiyo-e includes the number "15498," a crucial element to the “Endless Eight” story arc.
Hand-carved by Shoichi Kitamura and printed by Makoto Nakayama, all are handmade so no two are exactly alike. Different color alignments, uneven coloring, or a little wrinkled paper can be seen on the products, but that is one of the major features of woodblock printing. Please enjoy its unique characteristics.
Woodblock (unframed) measures approx 8.66" W x 13.39" H and is made of washi*, wooden plywood, and paper. Please make sure to store in a cool and airy place and to also avoid direct sunlight.
