Attention all Australian Evangelion fans! You can (not) miss these limited screenings!
We announced recently, with much excitement, that we will be bringing the Evangelion 1.11, 2.22 and 3.33 films to Australian cinemas from July 20th for a limited time. All screenings of the three hit films, reboot’s of the original 1995 anime series, will be in the true director’s cut, with Japanese audio and English subtitles.
Individual and marathon screenings will be available at all cinemas, but Dendy Canberra and Village Glenorchy are only holding one marathon screening on the 30th of July.

Evangelion: 1.11 You Are (Not) Alone – The year is 2015, and half of the Earth’s population is dead, victims of the disaster called Second Impact! Answering a summons from his enigmatic father, 14-year-old Shinji Ikari arrives in the rebuilt city of New Tokyo-3 just as a gigantic creature identified as an “Angel” attacks!
Forced into the cockpit of a giant bio-mechanical construct known as an Evangelion, Shinji must face his fears and defend the city from the rampaging Angel or die trying!
Evangelion: 2.22 You Can (Not) Advance – In the earliest battles against the monstrous Angels, young Eva pilots Shinji and Rei were forced to carry humanity’s hopes on their shoulders. Now, with the deadly onslaught of the Angels escalating and the apocalyptic Third Impact looming, Shinji and Rei find their burden shared by two new Eva pilots, the fiery Asuka and the mysterious Mari.
Maneuvering their enormous Eva machines into combat, the four young souls fight desperately to save mankind from the heavens – but will they be able to save themselves?
Evangelion: 3.33 You Can (Not) Redo – Shinji Ikari just woke up in his Eva unit fourteen years after starting the Third Impact. He hasn’t aged, but everything else has changed. The earth is in ruins. Rei is missing. The people he once protected treat him like a prisoner and threaten to kill him if he pilots another Eva.
When he escapes to the remains of NERV headquarters, Shinji meets pianist Kaworu, who is destined to be Shinji’s copilot in a new dual-cockpit Eva. As the boys bond, NERV’s true mission begins to come into focus. Lost in a labyrinth of deception, Shinji careens toward a mental breakdown that could bring about the end of humanity.
