Book a Screening

Madman is proud to be the home of films that transcend the screen, start conversations, and engage the broader community. We have a large list of films in our library and are always happy to help facilitate your screenings!

When you are hosting a film outside of a private, at home, setting, you need to obtain the licencing to screen the film. This can be for film nights, community screenings, and fundraising events.

If you have a film you would like to screen, please fill out the Booking Form by clicking below, and we will work with you to make your screening a success.

Frequently Asked Questions About Screenings

I already own a copy of the film, why do I need to book a screening?

When you buy a copy of a film, you have the rights to watch that film in a private setting (at home, with friends and family). If you want to organise a screening outside out your private circle, then you would need to obtain the licencing for that screening. That is where we come in! If you are interested in booking a Madman film, fill out the booking form and we’ll help make sure that this is all done correctly. If you are unsure about whether you need to obtain a licence, that’s okay! Send us an enquiry and we’ll let you know.

I am looking to organise a screening at a cinema, do I need to obtain the licencing from you?

No! If you are hoping to organise a screening at your local cinema, please reach out to them directly with the film you would like to screen. Then, the cinema with liaise with us directly and the licencing fees will be covered in your cinema hire.

What format of the film would I need to organise a screening?

If you already own a copy of the film (e.g. a DVD or Blu-ray) then when you book with us, all you will need to confirm is the licencing.

If you need a copy of the film, we may be able to provide a copy via MP4 file, which can be played from your computer and connected to a projector.

If you are organising a screening in a theatrical setting (e.g. a cinema), they usually screen with a DCP, a specialised format for cinema projectors.

We are always happy to advise what version will work best for you, just reach out!

Can I book every film on your website?

Currently, our film library includes all our films! However, not every title is available for booking. Let us know which film you are interested in, and we will let you know if it is available for booking.
